Joseph Burckel

Math Tutor

Joseph has called Colorado Springs home since the age of seven. He attended Antelope Trails Elementary and graduated from Discovery Canyon Campus High School.

Joseph went on to study in the scenic foothills of Golden, Colorado, earning his degree in Chemical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, with a minor in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering. During his time at Mines, he served as a Resident Assistant (RA) and spent his summers teaching coding fundamentals to elementary students through ID Tech. These experiences sparked a lasting passion for education and mentoring young learners.

Joseph thrives when working with students, especially in helping them break down complex ideas and build confidence in their understanding. He believes in meeting kids where they are and guiding them forward with patience and encouragement.

Outside of work, Joseph enjoys spending time with his close-knit family—including his three older siblings (a sister and two brothers). He’s also an avid writer, movie enthusiast, and loves deep conversations that spark new ideas and connections.
