Pariss Hazelman
Elementary Tutor
Pariss has taught kindergarten for 4 years and has experience in 1st grade, specializing in beginning phonics and early literacy skills through her Orton-Gillingham and Heggerty training. Before teaching in the classroom, Pariss was a paraprofessional teaching reading intervention for 2 years with 4th and 5th grade students.
She loves to help students develop math skills in small groups to build number sense, fluency, and conceptual understanding.
Pariss received her undergraduate degree in Art and Art History from the University of Colorado Boulder and went back to school in 2018 to earn her Master's degree in Elementary Education. She loves learning, growing, and getting better at teaching to help students reach their goals.
Pariss belives strongly in collaboration, transparency, and empathy. In her spare time, she loves to be with her family and get outside to run, along with crafting and reading. Pariss would love to partner with you and your students to support them in their math and reading development.
