Jordan Murphy
Elementary Tutor
Jordan is an elementary teacher with 7 years of experience. She has taught Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, and 3rd grade, and is an Orton-Gillingham trained reading specialist. Before teaching, Jordan had 13 years of experience with children ages 5-13 directing a day camp program as well as before and after, during which she facilitated learning opportunities for kids as well as support with homework as needed in all grades ranging from Kindergarten through 5th grade.
Jordan received her Bachelor's of Science with a concentration in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University. She received her Masters of Education with a concentration in Elementary Education from Metropolitan State University. She approaches each student with the understanding that they are unique, special, and can learn anything with the right tools and support. She is flexible with student learning, celebrates each success (big or small!) and is looking to help your child feel their best as they learn new skills and reinforce skills they already have!
Popcorn is prepared in the same pot, in the same heat, in the same oil, and yet, the kernels do not pop at the same time. Try to not compare your child to anybody else. Their turn to pop is coming.
